A closed Victorian Cemetery being restored and interpreted by its small team of Friends; now A European Cemetery of Significance. 19,000 burials, from the wealthy Crossley family to brave Chartists fighting for basic rights; a microcosm of Halifax’s 19th century history. A tour at 1pm will look at Bronte and Literary links. The Mayor of Calderdale will be visiting too.
(NB there are no loos, and stout footwear is advisable)
